With Mestre Beiçola
There is nothing quite like a personalized one-on-one class, where the instructor can identify your strengths and the areas where you need improvement.

If you do not see the class you wish to enroll in on our list of private classes, please do not be concerned. Not all classes are listed. Classes are developed based on student requests. For example, some students express an interest in learning Portuguese, and we are pleased to offer this class. Some classes are available year-round while others are seasonal. For instance, the Portuguese class is typically scheduled prior to our tour in Brazil. Please remember to sign up for our mailing list to stay informed about our programs.
Cavaquinho is a remarkable musical instrument widely utilized in samba and various styles of Brazilian music. Learning to play it can be straightforward if one adopts the appropriate approach. I will not suggest a specific teacher, as there are many proficient instructors and cavaquinistas available. My aim is to assist you in discovering your unique connection with the instrument, enabling you to progress independently over time, contingent upon your dedication.

For beginner students, I recommend enrolling in a group lesson rather than opting for a private one. However, if you have specific reasons for preferring private lessons, I would be more than happy to assist you. If you have been practicing capoeira for a significant period or even teaching it, I am eager to share my years of experience with you.
When I initially began my journey in samba as a couple, even though gafieira already existed, we referred to it as balanço. The dance emphasized a strong connection with one’s partner through the music rather than merely focusing on a combination of steps. In this class, my objective is to make you feel comfortable dancing with anyone, even if you have never danced with that individual before, enabling you to be confident and enjoy a wonderful experience while dancing.

The pandeiro is a remarkable hand drum that, when played skillfully, becomes an integral part of any percussion ensemble. A proficient pandeiro player can significantly enhance the samba experience, often eliminating the need for additional percussion instruments. Achieving a high level of proficiency requires dedication and practice. However, it is important to note that one does not need to be a professional to enjoy playing the pandeiro and impress others. With clear notes and accurate tempo, anyone can have a delightful time making music. There is no need to wait any longer—let’s begin and enjoy the journey of making music together.
